Iceland has many great artists, and I am sure many know bands/artist like Björk, Monsters of Men and Kaleo.
Less people know about one up and coming Icelandic star.
Short story that many of my guests have already heard.
I went to an extra small venue few years ago, the crowd counted maybe 25 people, few garage bands were playing and then this young singer, 19-20 years old. He sang few songs and left the crowd just speechless, who was this guy and where did he come from?
The artist I am talking about is Axel Flovent, a name that you should all remember as he will without doubt become a successful singer and songwriter, mark my words!
Axel Flovent is a young artist that grew up in Húsavík a small fishing village in north Akureyri.
Check out few of his songs:

Hi we want to share our most favorite places in Iceland.
To start with, here is a video about Jökulsárlón or like many call it Glacier Lagoon.
For me as a tour guide it is always so fun to experience all the feelings and joy that this wonderful lagoon / lake give people, if you have been here yourself please share your experience in the comment section, if not, what are you waiting for? come to Iceland :D
Iceland's electricity is produced almost entirely from renewable energy sources: hydroelectric and geothermal. Over 80% of electricity made in Iceland is than used for three aluminum smelters. The raw material used in those smelters is imported to Iceland all the way from Australia.
The coat of arms of Iceland displays the Icelandic flag surrounded by the four protectors of Iceland called Landvættir in Icelandic. One of them the one that stands on the right side is the great Giant (Bergrisi), in Brennu Njáls Saga is a story of the great Giant that lives in or on top of the big 688m high mountain Lómagnúpur.
Jökulsárlón, Lagoon filled with icebergs that have broken of Breiðamerkurjökull glacier, part of the mighty Vatnajökull glacier. The lagoon is full of fish and often you can spot seals in the lagoon trying to catch the fresh arctic fish.
The scenery at and around the lagoon looks like something north of the wall in Game of Thrones. Have you looked into how easy it is to take a long weekend in Iceland?

Are you planning on travel to Iceland next summer, then you should read carefully:
Did you know that during the summer season (June-July) in Iceland there is 24/7 daylight? This means that if you and your group are traveling from another timezone, you have the option to stay in your timezone and travel around Iceland during the night. Why not?
In 2015 we had a record number of tourists traveling to Iceland, over 1 million people. It is predicted that the number of tourists traveling to Iceland in 2016 will be even higher! The summer months are the most popular for traveling to Iceland and so during that time you might experience over crowded nature attractions.
Our solution is to travel during the night time, that way you will get to experience Iceland in a unique way, complete silence aside from the sound of little birds singing and a natural spring flowing down the hill. It's truly a once in a lifetime experience.
